At this point, you will break off from Highway 1A and head toward the Highlands zone of Vietnam to the City of Ðà Lạt, situated 1500 meter above sea level. From Ðà Lạt, you will continue to Bảo Lộc, another city in the Vietnam highlands before moving down to TP HCM (Sài Gòn), the final destination point. In the Hà Hội-TP HCM ride you will cross the following cities and provinces: City of Ha Noi, Provinces of Hà Tây, Hà Nam, Ninh Bình, Thanh Hóa, Nghệ An, Hà Tĩnh, Quảng Bình, Quảng Trị, Thừa Thiên-Huế, City of Ðà Nẵng, Provinces of Quảng Nam, Quảng Ngãi, Bình Ðịnh, Phú Yên, Khánh Hòa, Ninh Thuận, Lâm Ðồng, Ðồng Nai, and HCM City.
The Hà Nội-TP HCM bike ride covers approximately 1800 km of biking and is divided into sixteen legs. Since we do not utilize van support, each leg covers a distance that can be reasonably supported by motor bike. Each biker is responsible for his/her belongings which are carried on the back panniers of the bike. The total number of biking legs however can be shortened if you have van or automobile support which can also provide carry-on support for individual belongings. With less weight on the bike, you can go faster and cover a greater distance.
