Leg No. 12:  Tuy Hòa-Nha Trang (124 km)

You will leave Tuy Hòa and head South on Highway 1A toward the towns of Phú Lâm, Vạn Giả, Ninh Hòa, and Nha Trang.

There are indelible moments of pure bliss and joy when riding the bike and observing the sceneries on Highway 1A that is hard to describe.  The great part about biking is that you neither have to be rich nor poor to enjoy these views.   It is all there for you to see and experience, only if you are willing to venture out on the road.  This leg is especially rewarding at the end because you will end up in one of the most beautiful coastal cities in Vietnam.  Nha Trang is famous for its white sand beaches and sparkling clear blue waters.  The Tuy Hòa-Nha Trang leg has an uphill climb, Ðèo Cả (Cả Pass), of about 12 km.  Like Quy Nhơn, Nha Trang does not lie along Highway 1A.  Be careful not to miss the road into this city.  Otherwise, you will head toward the city of Phan Rang.  Once in Nha Trang, take a day off to enjoy the beaches and tour the many islands that surround this city.  The seafood in this city is particulary good.  Nha Trang is also one of the major tourism areas of Vietnam.  So, there are a lot of gift shops and services that cater to tourism which you may not easily find in other cities.
